Request account deletion

This page provides an external way to request deletion of a Vayro account and the data associated with it. It applies to accounts used with the Vayro Android app.

Submit a request

1. Email privacy@ridevayro.com with the subject Vayro account deletion.
2. Send the request from the email address connected to the Vayro account, if possible.
3. Include the Vayro username. Do not send a password, sign-in token, identity document, or live location.

Vayro may ask for limited additional information to confirm control of the account. The request will normally be completed within 30 days. If more time is permitted and needed, the requester will be told why.

Data deleted from the service

Once the request is verified, deletion covers:

• the account, email address, username, sign-in identities, and invite code;
• uploaded routes, waypoints, route geometry, names, descriptions, and collections;
• favourites, reviews, friend requests, and friend relationships; and
• other records tied only to that account.

Live positions are not stored as account history. They expire from server memory after 60 seconds without an update and are removed when sharing stops or the connection closes.

Data on the device

A remote deletion request cannot erase files already stored on a phone. Clear Vayro's app storage in Android settings or uninstall the app to remove local settings, credentials, map packages, caches, and device-only routes. Do this after saving any route file you want to keep.

Limited retention

Data may be retained where required by law, needed to resolve a security or abuse issue, or contained in a restricted backup awaiting normal rotation. Retained data is isolated from ordinary service use and removed when the applicable reason or backup period ends.

Deleting selected content

A rider who wants to keep the account but remove particular uploaded routes or reviews can use the relevant controls in the app. If those controls are unavailable in a test build, email the address above and identify the item without including sensitive information.
